5 common questions answered
NHTSA recall information identifies three safety concerns affecting certain 2017 Ford Taurus vehicles. Corroding steering gear heat shield fasteners may allow the shield to detach, potentially increasing steering effort at lower speeds. A key that can be removed outside Park may allow the vehicle to roll away when the parking brake is not applied. On certain Police Interceptor or SHO Performance Pack vehicles, rear toe links may fracture and cause a sudden handling change. These issues can increase crash risk. Waiting can leave a safety defect unresolved, so check your VIN and arrange authorized recall service promptly.
