5 common questions answered
NHTSA reports two safety concerns associated with the 2018 Ford Taurus. A rear suspension toe link may fracture on certain Police Interceptor or SHO Performance Pack vehicles, causing a sudden change in handling and increasing crash risk. On certain mechanical key ignition vehicles, the key may come out when the transmission is not in PARK; without the parking brake applied, the vehicle could roll away. Waiting to investigate a notice or concern can leave a known safety issue unresolved. A prompt VIN check helps determine whether either remedy applies and whether the repair should be completed.
