5 common questions answered
NHTSA recall information identifies two safety concerns for the 2019 Ford Mustang. The Transmission Gear Position Indication issue may shorten the transmission-not-in-Park warning and chime, creating a risk of unintended movement if the vehicle is left before it is shifted into Park. The Instrument Panel issue may cause a blank cluster at start-up, hiding speed, fuel, temperature, and safety-system warnings. Waiting to verify an open recall can leave these risks unresolved. A quick VIN check identifies whether Ford’s remedy is still needed, and an authorized dealer can complete the repair at no charge to the owner.
