Acceptable things to do while driving: listen to the radio, a book on tape, or a podcast. Not so acceptable activities to perform behind the wheel? Anything that requires you to take your eyes off the road, like texting or talking on the phone, applying your makeup in the rearview mirror, or cleaning your teeth.
There's a time and a place for everything, and your morning commute is hardly the opportunity to perform amateur dental hygiene. Ford drives this point home with a light-hearted, over-the-top demonstration of what can go wrong when you neglect to stay focused on your surroundings.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in this particular scenario--that's the beauty of animation. But the cartoon does serve as an important reminder that distractions when driving can come in many different forms. Keep your eyes on the road, your hands on the wheel, and deal with the gunk in your teeth only when you've safety put your vehicle in park!
