It's the perfect time for a family road trip. Here are a few tips before hitting the road.
1) Destination: Make sure you have a clear destination and map it out. It's easy to get around with GPS, but you could get lost if you lose your signal.
2) Vehicle check: Check your fluids, fill your tank and make sure your vehicle has a clean bill of health. Also, it's important the spare tire is filled and there is a working car jack. Your roadside assistance plan should be up to date as well.
3) Clean out your car: Make your car as clean and comfortable as possible. Leg room is necessary for back seat passengers.
4) Road games: There should be plenty to do on the trip. Adults, as well as children, can get pretty bored on a long road trip.
5) Snacks: Bring plenty of snacks and water. Meal stops could be few and far between. Hungry travelers make cranky travelers.
6) Make it an adventure: Get off the beaten path and actually see the countryside.
