Many vehicles nowadays have a variety of lights and buttons on and around the dashboard. However, none are as important as the warning lights. These lights let you know when there may be an issue with your vehicle that needs attention. And depending on the light that is lit, attention may be needed immediately. Here are a couple of the different warning lights and what they mean for your vehicle.

Battery light - This light looks like a battery and usually comes on if the battery in your vehicle is not sufficiently charged. This could be for a variety of reasons. One of the more common reasons this may come on is a faulty alternator. The alternator charges your battery as you drive your vehicle.

Brake light - This light is usually lit up with the word "BRAKE" and has an exclamation point. This light can come on for various reasons, such as low to no brake fluid, and should be taken care of immediately.
