?They say dogs are man’s best friend. As such, you will often find yourself in a position that you need to let your dog tag along on a car ride. Sometimes, the journey is not complete without having your buddy with you.

So where do you start preparing before you travel? Purchase a crate for the dog. The size matters as you need one big enough so the dog can fit in and lie down as well as sit, but snug enough that the dog won't be thrown around in case of a crash. Make sure the crate is well-secured in the car so that in cases where you have to make an abrupt stop, it will not shift and displace the dog.

In case you choose not to purchase a crate, keep the dog in a harness which you attaches to the seat buckle to contain him and avoid any accidents.
