5 common questions answered
NHTSA identifies two recall concerns for the 2016 Ford Flex. A rear suspension toe link may fracture from stress on certain vehicles equipped with the Police Interceptor or SHO Performance Pack, causing a sudden change in handling and increasing crash risk. Separately, improperly brazed turbocharger oil supply tubes on certain 3.5L GTDI engines may leak oil onto engine components. Oil contacting an ignition source can increase the risk of fire. Waiting to verify an open recall leaves a potentially serious safety concern unresolved. A free VIN check can clarify whether either remedy applies to your Ford Flex.
